My name is Jennifer M. Dodd, but I am more commonly found on the Internet as ‘jmdodd’.

I have worked professionally on WordPress-based web sites since 2005. I started out creating custom themes for WordPress, but quickly found myself spending more time on the PHP/MySQL side of things. I now specialize in creating custom plugins and modifying WordPress, BuddyPress, and bbPress behaviors for clients.

Open-Source Philosophy

Code that I write for WordPress, BuddyPress, etc. is licensed under the GPL. A client does not own the code that I provide to solve their problems because I am in many cases extending other code I have already written. I retain the right to release WordPress plugins and theme frameworks (not to include client-specific CSS and images) based upon code written for clients. If a client has paid for a portion of the development of a plugin, they will be given the option of a “Development funded, in part, by XXX.” credit in the Other Notes section of the plugin’s readme.txt.
